Jeremy
and June Astfalck have been in the Antique business since the
late 80’s, dealing primarily in silver.
Jeremy is a silversmith with years of experience in repair and
restoration of fine silver.
He is also one of South Africa’s leading silver dealers and
has specialized in the more unusual aspects of silver collections
such as Cape silver, Scottish and Irish provincial and Dutch
miniatures.
June works behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation
of the business. This includes managing the events and shows,
running the web-site and ensuring that the quality of information
provided on each item for sale is of the highest standards.
The Old Corkscrew Shop - Franschhoek
In
1994 Jeremy and June opened The Old Corkscrew in Franschhoek,
a picturesque town which is nestled in the Winelands of the
Western Cape in South Africa.
This unique antique shop has become a favourite call for dealers
and collectors on holiday in South Africa. Due to its location
in this wine producing area, many wine related antiques can
be found, including Africa's largest collection of antique and
modern corkscrews.
Also included is a large selection of silver, as well as porcelain,
glass, copper and furniture. The shop is open 7 days a
week, 365 days a year.
